Meet The Founders

American Judo was founded by Jimmy Pedro & Travis Stevens with the goal of bringing the world of judo to every dojo and house hold who is willing to showcase a desire to learn.

Jimmy Pedro

Jimmy Pedro is world renowned for coaching the most accomplished US Olympic Judo Teams between 2012 & 2016. Along with his coaching credentials he holds a World Title as well as two Olympic Bronze Medals. Jimmy currently holds a 7th degree black belt from USA Judo.

Travis Stevens

Travis Stevens is a product of the American Judo System. Being the only American Male to fight in Two Olympic Semi Finals and finishing with a Silver Medal in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Travis is world renowned for his Newaza Techniques and holds a black belt in BJJ from John Danaher and Renzo Gracie.
